Some venues are simply settings. 48 Wall Street is a story. Built in 1927 as the Bank of New York and Trust Company, this National Register landmark brings a grandeur to your wedding day that no modern ballroom can replicate. The 30-foot ceilings, grand marble staircase, Palladian windows, and original crystal chandeliers create an atmosphere of genuine historic elegance in the heart of the Financial District. Our experienced team handles every detail from concept to final curtain call, so you and your guests can simply be present for the moments that matter.
Walk down the aisle beneath 30-foot ceilings and original 1920s chandeliers. The grand marble staircase makes for a dramatic processional that photographs unlike anything else in New York City. We can configure the Banking Hall for your ceremony and then transition the space into your reception, all within the same historic downtown venue.
The Grand Mezzanine has held some of the most celebrated events in Lower Manhattan for over 30 years. For your reception, we can arrange round tables for up to 350 seated guests or open the floor for a cocktail celebration of up to 500. Our team coordinates catering, lighting, entertainment, and every detail so the night runs exactly as you imagined.
Couples consistently tell us that their 48 Wall Street wedding photos are unlike anything their photographer has shot before. The original Palladian windows, marble columns, crystal chandeliers, and grand staircase give you backgrounds that feel like a film set. You will not need to find a separate portrait location because the venue itself provides more than enough.
Everything you need to know about our services
The Grand Mezzanine Banking Hall seats up to 350 guests for a formal dinner reception and accommodates up to 500 for a cocktail style celebration. The Concourse Level can serve as a separate cocktail hour or breakout space, giving you additional flexibility in how you use the venue.
Yes, and many couples choose to do exactly that. The venue has distinct areas that work beautifully as separate ceremony and reception spaces, so your guests never have to leave the building. It makes for a seamless evening and reduces stress on the day.
Spring and fall weekends fill up fast, so we recommend reaching out 12 to 18 months ahead if you have a specific date in mind. That said, we do occasionally have availability on shorter notice. Contact us and we will let you know what we have open.
We handle everything from initial venue walkthrough and floor plan design to vendor coordination, catering, AV and production setup, and day-of management. Our goal is to make sure you are not managing logistics on your wedding day. You focus on celebrating while our team handles the details.
